John founded Durango Doors in 1999. His vision, passion, and leadership shaped Durango Doors to the company it is today. We honor his memory by carrying forward the legacy he created.

Originally from Dallas, John was a proud graduate of the University of Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology. He began his career as a Field Seismologist for Schlumberger Petroleum in Midland, Texas, before relocating back to Austin. In 1999, he founded Durango Doors where he built a reputation for excellence in the steel window & door industry. Through 25 years of business, John had a passion for construction and was committed to his clients and community. His hard work and dedication to his business is evident in the company’s success.
